“Griefers lost the toss and the Elfs chose to kick.
The Nurgz got a little over enthusiastic with their blocking and allowed the Woodies to swarm their backfield.
The Nurgz managed to get the ball and form a cage, thankfully the WD leap in 1DB was just a push. The pressure was on but thankfully a failed dodge let us push forward.
I made a couple of mistakes but was lucky enough to blitz and dodge away for the td on turn 8.
2nd half was very sunny and the Nurgz got a perfect D.
The woodies wasted a RR on a completion which could have been costly indeed, as turn 2 they snaked a GFI which left them without RR and the ballcarrier somewhat exposed. We put the pressure on and 9 dice later the catcher was down and the Dank Nurgz were looking good. The Woodies swarmed the Pestigor with the ball, but some great blocks meant I was able to chainpush him free to get the TD on turn 6.
This left the woodies needing a one turn td and a blitz to have a chance. Thankfully neither happened and rookie Nurgz beat rookie Woodies \0/
