With a wizard and a deep kick, it was a promising start for Pig Sty Alley. The Coat (ESotFC) got into position and the lightening struck down the poor frog with the ball. 1-0 on defense looked all but certain... and the Coat drops the ball.
Galvanised, the Anurans began to take out their necromantic opponents. Soon both wights and the coat occupied the KO box and the Slann touchdown was all but unstoppable. So, a change of tactics... fouling!
By the time Fong the dirty player zombie was given her marching orders, she'd scored 2 casualties and 2 KOs with the boot. Add to a casualty earlier in the game, the lovely little bag of rotten flesh and bone had almost singlehandedly won the game.
Meanwhile CroixFer was having to deal with his dice going off a cliff. First, he failed to score in the 1st half as a 3D block was rerolled to triple skulls. It wasn't so bad - a wight and the coat failing to come back for the 2nd half. 11 vs 9 but the 9 had many more skills. Then Fong's boot started to wreak havoc.
It was going so well that I scored early in the hope of skilling the rookie wolf with another TD. Skewed KO rolls (none for me, all 3 for CroixFer) made it look foolish, but then perfect defense and a snaked pick up, followed by a push rerolled to skull summed up the game for CroixFer who will have taken the referee off his Christmas card list.
