#10 Erian Bliss – Gouged Eye (MNG)
Japh cursed vehemently under his breath as the team left the field. I knew I shouldnt've taken this damn rematch. So what if everyone is a bit peeved at not getting more action, so what if we didn't get any loot off these stumpy fiends last time? I know better than to revisit the scene of the crime, even a failed crime.

The Dawi-Zharr seemed to have a knack of knowing when you were about to dodge away from their blows, and that had cost Erian dearly. She bore the pain and the scars without complaint, but Japh knew that a pretty young waif in an eyepatch was much less use in a long con than the immaculately beautiful young woman she had been beforehand. Passing her off as a noblewoman was sure to be much more difficult in future.

And now, barely a day later, Erkitt had grown a second head. Japh had never seen the likes of it before, and was already a little perturbed by Erkitt's new habit of arguing with himself. He hoped the heads would soon learn to get along; the last thing the group needed was even more bisckering.

Vaunai was communing with her spirits in some form of ritual to determine whether this change was a good omen or an evil portent; all Japh knew was that the ritual made their quarters stink worse than the sewers below the Borosian fish-market. As if the whole of Pox didn't stink enough already. Japh made a mental note never to return to this godsforsaken city, which had brought them nothing but ill luck so far.

#12 Deap – Damaged Back (NI)
#14 Rit – Broken Jaw (MNG)
After their strange first day in Pox, the visitors from Yantai settled somewhat and made themselves

at home in one of the upmarket inns in the centre of town. After a few nights of

getting to know them, it is clear that the inhabitants of this desolate place are not

hostile. In fact they are victims -- The full history of Frederick's foul betrayal

was relayed over many an imbibement in the alehouse. He also learns that the city is

in danger of being over-run by the vermin infecting its underbelly, showing at least

some similarity between our people and theirs.

Whilst Kra-iti feels sorry for their plight, thew dwarves are not exactly prone to

pity. The citizens of Pockara were once regular customers of Yantai. The endless

fertile lands required many hands to harvest, and Yantai always had plentiful willing

bodies to sell. Perhaps once these poor unfortunates have cleansed themselves and

their town they will become business associates once more.

Kra-iti makes a personal decision to assist by eradicating all weakness wherever he

finds it. This will help his neighbours to make a fresh start, and also ensure they

don't get too strong either -- loyal customers are one thing, rivals are another, one

which must not be tolerated. His great grandfather did not become overlord of his

domain by allowing the local riff-raff to grow and develop in freedom.

On the third night in Pox, Kra-iti and Ikunum were sampling the local brew, when they

encountered some newly-made "old friends". Rambling Roses Eliss and Japh happened to frequent the

same Inn. After exchanging "pleasantries" (some of them longer than one syllable)

regarding their recent on-field encounter in Yantai, they attempted to settle their

differences in a contest of a different nature. Several flagons of ale in jestful

contest still could not separate them -- Kra-iti had upheld the honour of the dwarves

by out-drinking Japh, but the deceptively slender Erian Bliss managed to make a fool

of Ikunum, drinking him

completely under the table!

With honours even once more, they proposed a rematch on the field the following day.

When the sides met once more, the skies had cleared momentarily even if heads were still clouded. With both sides eager to improve on previous performances, the blows came thick and fast. Rrhraaughuarr of the Dark Herd was first to strike, incapacitating Beatha before he could run. Quite impressive considering the heightened reflexes of a Yantaal hobgoblin!

With Rrhraaughuarr in full flow, the Borosian momentum would not be stopped and soon Vaunai Umbrish scored with ease.

Taking this on the chin, the Dawi-Zharr responded immediately. Drawing the Roses towards them, the Yantai changed direction and in one flowing movement Pesgaldaramesh showed why he is named Son of the Ibex, swiftly rounding the defence and scoring unchallenged (but not before Ikunum exacted revenge on Erian Bliss for last night's embarrassment!

Yantai began the second half in slow controlled fashion, protecting the ball rather than attacking. This gave the Borosians a numbers advantage in the centre and soon half the Yantai were face down in the mud. With the disfigurement of Bliss still fresh in the mind, Big Tarrk pounced on Ikunum, but the Yantai apothecary was able to revive him.

Tarrk seemed frustrated that the dwarf avoided injury. His frustration would soon turn to regret. He was not aware that the dwarves honour would force them into brutal retribution. Tarrk was the first to leave the field, merely concussed. He was quickly followed by Hermund, Boden Starn and Erkitt.

Rrhraaughuarr managed to turn the tide back towards the Borosians, nearly breaking the back of the slave Deap but the damage was done. Erishum strolled in to take the lead with moments remaining. Even so, Rrhraaughuarr continued, first knocking out Ilushuma before breaking Rit's jaw. Thankfully both slaves remain fit for active duty, after a small period of rehabilitation.

Today's match proved sufficient evidence of our dominance. Some of the Borosian players have caught our attention as potential trophies, but we were unable to capture any. We shall keep our eye on them.
