“With no hope of winning a war of attrition, the DarkStars decided to opt for the “Sometimes the best defense is a good offense” playbook, and came out swinging, and continually putting pressure on the ball and the ball carrier. The rain and the riot all played to our advantage, and the early use of the wizard opened up a 6-turn melee where both sides fought for control of the ball.
The second half of the match picked up right where the first half left off, until a fortunate bounce resulted in the ball landing out of bounds, to be thrown into play, bouncing out of bounds one more time, and when thrown in for a second time coming to rest uncovered, and a short distance away from an elven blitzer. A pick up and a quick pass and the DarkStars took the lead. We kicked the ball deep and went after the ball with everything we had, attempting to mark that last remaining skink with the ball, but when that 1d blitz came up skull rerolled into another skull there was nothing more we could do.

Solid match, highly enjoyable, and a good performance by both teams.
