Perfect Defence, Kick scatter on the edge, near the corner, failed pickup, crowd throws it in, in the middle of my half. A beastman gets to it, but we take him down and - again Hubris II fails his pickup. Long pass by AG5 CW and its 0-1. We got 2 BH, one RIP Apoed to MNG, and one -AV Mino.

A note on that - we DO go through the Minotaurs faster than anything else, but Agression V had a very short career indeed - one turn, and not getting to take a single action before he was retired.

The Niceflowers had 1 player banned, one MNG and one RIP.

Both Apos used.

Cheering fans. Reroll used on a pushback, stupidly enough. Twin skulls.

Again a beastman sweeps in an picks the ball up, again Hubris II takes him down, but this time he manages to get hold of the ball! Only to immediately go down on a 1DB due to Wrestle. Again a beastman picks it up, again Hubris II takes him down and grabs the ball. Unfortunately time is up and there's no time for him to score.

Halftime. Numbers are getting in our favor. 7 vs 6. 10 players are out, not one KO so far.

Our turn for a perfect defense! The flowers take down Hubris II and places a tackler on either side of him, then moves a CW upfield on the south flank, passes the ball, and botches it. Leaving 2 beastmen in a little huddle with Destruction and Anger II. And a Guarder. They're quickly disposed of, unfortunately turning up a double skull eating a reroll.

Now for the ball. Hubris blitzes to put a TZ on the ball, who to hit? The wrestle guy or the fend guy? As it turned out it was the wrong one. Fend made it impossible to use Dodge on the inevitable 1 rolled to dodge.

The CW gets the ball, but snakes his first GFI. Hubris is blitzed free and puts a TZ on the ball, but is pushed away and the flower score again. 0-2.

Six turns to equalize. Numbers are in our favor now. 7 to 5, with us recieving. Another double skull on the line, RR. Hubris gets the ball and starts moving forward, Blocks and Foul BH's 2 more beastmen. Chaos does nothing. We move forward and forms a nice cage around Hubris. The cage is assaulted ineffectively, and the two players next to it are KO'd, Hubris scores!

The flowers get both their KO'd players back, but there's still only three of them taking the field.

Now I mess up totally. For some reason I think I am recieving and places Hubris midfield. Which I realize immediately I hit "End Turn".

The flowers fails the pickup, and I manage to put a TZ on the CW trying to get the ball.

BUT because I put Hubris so far back he cant reach to blitz! Or get the ball!

So instead that AG5 monstrosity of a CW dodges free and punts the ball deep into our backfield.

We blitz the AG5 monstrosity and gets him prone and pinned against the sideline, place two Hobgobbos to at least make a pass, handover, score possible.

Still annoyed by my mistake setting up I fail to use my second Reroll on the skulled 1db that ends my turn. Not that that mattered much.

It just gave that CW a 2db blitz, which he promptly double skulled.

So.. 2 gfi, 3+ pass, 3+ catch, handover 4+ catch. So far so good! And no reroll used! Now only 3 gfi with Hubris, of which two could be rerolled! (of course, I now notice that I could've placed him 1 step closer to the EZ, and think, I'll probably roll ones on every one and will be beating myself up over running out of rerolls for the last one.

As it turned out he snaked the second one and all those worries went out the window.

Oh well. That one was on me. The first half mess I think was the dice.

Frustrating, fun and pretty bloody game. At least it wasn't a bunch of clawpombers running screaming like small girls, like the last game.
