“The semi-final of the Super 4 Playoffs brought the Grimway Monoliths to L'Anguille to play against the Kestrels. The Monoliths had finished the regular season in second place in the Jellied Eel Division with a 1-1-1 record.

The game started with the Monoliths winning the toss and opting to receive. Their first turn started decently enogh before a late block threw up a turn over after a skull/both down was rerolled into double skulls.

A couple of turns of midfield blocking ended when the Monoliths allowed a 1D block on the ball carrier, Nurgle Warrior Victus Mortalis, after positioning next to the prone Finwë Táralóm. The 1D did saw a knock down. Traeliorn swoops in and hands off to Elephon Kesefehon to secure the ball, before running it to the opposite corner the next turn.

The Kestrels move the ball from side to side, and while a foul on Finwë Táralóm puts him in the BH box. Before a one turn stall sees debutant catcher Derth Garrik score in turn 8 for a 1-0 lead, after a failed GFI in an attempt to mark him and force the final turn dodge.

The second half, starts with both teams a man down, Kestrels a BH'd blitzer, and the Monoliths a rotter in the sinbin.

A poor first turn allows the nurgle team to tag the ball carrying catcher, but a safe blitz sees off that trouble. More trouble is jsut around the corner as the Kestrels are unable to safely secure the ball, but a tactical retreat puts the ball safe(ish).

A 3+ dodge by Infirmitas Fervore, followed by a successful blitz and pick up, gives the Monoliths the ball. In return, a failed blitzed (rerolled) keeps the ball in the Pestigor's hands. Until a failed dodge in the next turn, gives the Kestrels a shot at retrieving the ball which they don't refuse.

But the fun isn't over yet as rotter Velamus dodges free and BHs Ralnor Molaroni on a 1D, to pop the ball, but he fails the gfi. Then Eärendur Ancalimë fails a 2+ pick up for another turn over.

A double skull turn ends the Monoliths turn and Eärendur doesn't turn down the second opportunity to run in the score and with it, his first skill!
