This time a much stronger opponent, who, on paper, would take the little skilled Nurgle team apart. With 280k inducements for the Nurgle side, coach Wotfudboy selected Max Spleenripper (accompanied by his trusty chainsaw), and a big bag of gold to bribe the ref with.

FRSHMN's orcs, 7 games old, started the team with a predictable Fame advantage. Coach Wotfudboy called upon dark Nurgle powers to predict the coin toss correctly and receive. The favoured ball carrier, Crima Clovenhoof made an early move to try to take a high kick, but spilt the ball deep in the Nurgle half. Max stunned a BO, Crima Clovenhoof failed to pick up, and the Massif Orcal Mo'rodaz goblin, Scratch of Da Howlaz, got sent off after his team mate Junior of the Crooked Eye took Max down.

And from there, the pre-match sacrifices to the diseased God seemed to continue to pay off, as nothing really went that wrong for the unclean side, whilst the orcs struggled.

Mivott Bileguzzler crowd surfed Knuckles of the Deff Grindaz who was seriously injured. Soon after Max KO'd the BO Bubba of the Skullsmasherz. Tantrum the troll threw a Tantrum and remained stupid for two turns in a row, and the Nurgle side were hovering around the half way line by turn 4,4. The two sides exchanged KO's, and then the Nurgle warrior Davinra the Desperate BH'd his opposite number Stomper, and the apoth was brought on to revive the black orc. By turn 7,7 the Diseased Wasters were just waiting around to score with the orc defence in tatters, despite Hedgehog's one-orc effort to take down the ball carrier with some nifty footwork. Unfortunately for the orc blitzer he was the 3rd orc to be crowd surfed, and suffered a smashed hip in the process. Crima then trotted over to score in turn 8/7.

The ref then welcomed the big bag of gold to keep Max in the game, as 12 Nurgle were available to line up against 9 orcs for the final turn of the half. A perfect Defence allowed the nurgle team to readjust their line up as they suddenly spotted the goblin TTM threat that they had missed previously and the half ended without incident.

With an orc KO coming back, the 10 orcs were going to have to make a hard push to equalise. This wasn't helped by a Blitz! for the Nurgle side who managed to cover the kick which fell close to the LoS. Grakk Foamsplutter caught the ball, and the gobo, Stabba of the Rusty Daggaz, was launched by Tantrum to just a boot width's away from Grakk, but got knocked out in the process. The BO Roadblock then doubleskulled against Max. The Diseased Wasters had a giant chunk of advantage to double their lead now.

From their, despite their best efforts, the orcs were up against it. Junior of the Crooked Eye was the 4th orc to be crowd surfed. In turn 2/3 of the 2nd half, Drek the Diseased ugliness finally proved to much for the orcs too as the first FA of the game was rolled. Turn 4/4 saw the Wasters just waiting to score again.

When Max fouled and KO'd the BO Bubba of the Skullsmasherz, FRSHMN effectively decided enough was enough. The Pestigors decided to pass it amongst themselves in case an MVP came their way later (it didn't!). In the end Hrand Threehorns ended up with the ball to score in the last turn of the game.
