“We got the ball loose a number of times but the grs couldn't hold on to it and a close run thing turned to another disaster as Skratz, our only remaining 2 skill GR bit the dust.

The match started in pouring rain. Steven Finn, a hob, took the ball past halfway. Our blitzer ko'd himself when dodging but Headcrusher barged its way into the cage. It was brought down but the hob was not left fully protected. Krikit, a wrestle rat, bounded up and dodged away from his marker before using his wrestling ability and team training to pull down the ball carrier. Skratz saw a massive chance to give us the advantage as he pounced on the ball by the sideline. But he fumbled the wet ball and was left next to the crowd! He looked desperately about but there was no saving him from being pushed into the crowd and ko'd. Finn tried to get the ball back but scooped it to a Cwarf blocker. Elsewhere Talus impressively injured another blocker and then back at the key area Ikit knocked down the Cwarf with the ball. Zloos also couldn't pick up the wet ball but another rat caught it. He also was hit down and this to and fro with no player able to pick up the ball from the floor continued for almost the whole half. Finally Skeetz Nool got it and dodged away. Surely we had made the defense. But no! He was blitzed down and the ball fell within range of another hob, who picked it up, did a great pass and then yet another hob caught and scored in the wet! Amazing efforts from the three hobbos and despite the steal and drops Nordique had ended up with a great half.
Second half the weather improved, we were 9 v 10 and went for a quick TD. Mats Sundin used his strength to dodge in to Zloos's way but the GR managed to get through.
Next Steven Finn again picked up and our GRs attacked. Skratz got through the line and wrestled him down while Skeetz picked up. He was though brought down easily and the strong hobbo had the ball. In a really cruel turn Skratz dodged at him again but was tripped and fell badly injured. Our apo merely managed to finish him off. We were then reduced quickly. Zloos though did a beautiful blitz which appeared to kill Stephane, the carrier, but the Cwarf apo did great work to patch him up. The Nordiques were not to be denied and another hobbo took the ball and got the winner. ”
