“An awful start by us, not helped by an Elf Blitz but in the end we made some strong hits and a fun game was had.

The Elves started with a quick TD running down the gaps on our flanks. On kicking they then immediately blitzed. Lucan picked up but was stunned and the Elves were in control at 2-0. At least in that brief time and the following moments Jim Breaks got 2 cas of loners to help stem the horror. We then advanced with Lucan in a cage but boneheads etc meant we struggled to keep it secure and an ag5 catcher got in there and cas'd Lucan. Yet again in this bad streak Lucan goes out first half, though at least he didn't trip himself up this time! The Green Man regained the ball and tried to hand it off to Jim. Success would have meant Jim could score but alas he dropped. We tried the same again next turn but Jim just would not take that ball. But in this drive Les had added a 3rd cas for himself and Big Daddy had one from another big hit. So 2nd half we set up 2-0 down but with 11 v 7.
Snotface took the ball forward and though he was taken down once with a blitzer the advance continued and eventually he handed it off to Les but he fumbled and finally Jim caught the ball, from the scatter, and scored. Haystacks showed his return to power with 2 cas of his own and the Elves were being taken apart.
At 2-1 the Elves 5 players wanted to score again to get the game won but Les chased down the catcher carrier and brought him down, another snot got the ball and Jake the Snake clinically kicked the catcher in to the badly hurt box. We had a moment of hope then but Blitzer To Rello with Love did his work in hurting the snot, got a break with the ball scatter and then scored the 3rd. We then finished off with a ttm td attempt but Hulk Hogan's mate stumbled on landing.

Fun game though the losing streak continues. Go Ogres! ”
