#9 Piebald Pete – Groin Strain (MNG)
A strange game which both sides will look back on with some regret. The wood elfs scored early in the first half, at the cost of WIL Legend Gary Gilmore-Eyes, killed by Vermin Captain Roderick Redpelt. The Vermin equalised, and with the elfs a few down the game looked done and dusted.

Not so. The remaining wardancer Valentin Lebedev single-handedly won the game, doding several pile-ons and fouls, before making a series of dodges and a leap to strip the ball from Reggie. He sidestepped into four Vermin team-mates but another push and some fortuitous scattering put the ball on the open side of the cage and only one TZ, and the woodies managed to clear it for an unlikely counter-TD. The Vermin looked set for an equaliser late in the second, only for a Wrestle/Tackle 2d blitz on Valentin (75% chance)to fail again, allowing him to make another leap, series of dodges and strip, and a catcher to dodge in and rescue the ball. The Vermin stripped it back in the last turn, put the crowd scatter was less kind for them and Ag5 Big Hand gutter Reggie messed up the pick-up for an equaliser.

The Vermin were left cursing their luck, and the Cosmonauts the loss of WIL's greatest player. But a good tactical game nonetheless, which could have gone either way on the whim of Nuffle!

#2 Gary Gilmore-Eyes – Dead (RIP)
#13 Yorick Blueeagle – Pinched Nerve (MNG)

The game in which WIL's finest goes "Splat". Even the opponent apologised. And nuffle felt guilty, so the Cosmonauts recovered from the disappointment to win the second half and the game.
