Both teams set out to bash their way to a win, but somehow few players on either side were removed and none were permed, despite everything that was thrown repeatedly at the other team.

SF chose to receive and set the tone by Pombing a lino and blitzing the Snow Troll with the 'Saw, but only succeeded in 2 Stuns, and the 'Sons answered by doing the same to the 'Saw. Turn 2 started w/ a RR'd Krox block, from Both-Down (which was safe w/ the Block Krox) to a Pow, and then tried to score with a complex play, making every roll but denied on the last 2+ catch roll, ball loose on the goal line.

The 'Sons surfed the would-be scorer (KO'd), and recovered there, and there followed 7 turns of back-and-forth dogfight, the 'Sons trying to advance the entire length of the field, and SF trying to punish with the Krox as much as possible while also hoping to salvage the opening score. A 'zerk was KO'd and the 'Saw fouled the Snow Troll BH'd (but Apo'd into Reserves, a risky strategic call on Turn 3!). SF used their last of 4 RR's to pop the ball midfield on Turn 5 but failed the pickup, and the 'Sons recovered while KO'ing the SF Ag 5 ballhawk and 1d'ing a Loner BH'd. With no RR, the Krox made a 4+ BT blitz and popped the ball, but the MA 12 speedster failed his leap roll, ball on the ground again. A 1d on the Krox was RR'd to a Skull, and it looked like SF would score - but after successfully blocking and fouling everything in sight, and scooping in a TZ and dodging out again, a GFI failed - ball on the ground at the 5. The 'Sons recovered, and SF successfully dodged and blitzed with the 'Saw, but failed the Ag 4 pickup for the pass - half ends 0-0.

No KO roll succeeded and Helmut was (finally!) out, so 8 Frogs faced an intact Norse squad less one rookie 'Zerk, but still 11 players. The Krox PO'd one lino out Turn 1, and a rookie SF lino BH'd one Ulf to even the odds a bit to end Turn 2. The 'Sons maintained their cage, bringing the ball up from deep, but had to fall back from midfield to their own 9 Turn 4 do so, adding a SF Blitzer to the KO box (9:7). They could only slide the cage sideways Turn 5, and the Krox tried another 4+ BT into the cage - and failed, stunning himself. That finally opened the door for the cage to move forward, and the few unstunned SF players that were not far out of position were simply out-bashed - Turn 16 score, 'Sons 1-0.

With no Riot and no RR's remaining, SF had a thin chance for a OTS play, but the first leap failed - game over.
