#1 Ajax – Smashed Hand (MNG)
A mad match between the Elven cousins today. Surprisingly the Pro Elves were clumsy at times but seemed to have more power in the block than the Gang Warriors. A number of times it seemed we could secure the win but in the end we come away with a draw.

We came out on to the skull pitch and notched a quick KO. However Ajax, our strong blitzer, was shockingly cas'd with seeming ease by a double team. The apo couldn't help him to play in the next match such was the blow. Rembrandt went over for a quick TD seeing the confidence of the opposition.
The Pro Elves drive was a seesaw effort. They went forward quick but without solid protection their carrier was brought down. Amazingly the ball went from team to team repeatedly. We were recovering but had our own carrier brought down 3 times in the duel. Last time a scatter led to a crowd throw to the middle of the pitch. A poor block fail by Cleon and a fumble by supposedly sure handed Swan left them a chance but in the end a tripped Pro Elf meant the score was 1-0 at half time.
Next half Side by Each started with a KO but they presented us with numerous block targets and we evened up the numbers with a ko and our first cas, plus a steal of the ball. Yet again the ball changed repeatedly. We had players get it but be taken back down 3 times. Just as it seemed we may escape the Pro Elves solid hitting saved them. Another Dark Elf blitzer had been ko'd and then Swan's blodge could not help him stay up either. The opposition got away (catching the scattered ball in the lbitz) and our blocking collapsed while they took an equalizer.
We still had some moments left and a thrown rock on a catcher seemed to give us space. Alas team training was used up early today and with the first block of our drive a double team blitz was failed hottibly. 1-1 it was!
Though the Gang Warriors are disappointed not to hold the win both sides can point at misfortune and misplay throughout the match. A fun one.
