“Road to the NAF Championship Round 3

Tough game of blocking by 2 dwarf teams

1st half, I fielded Big Rick (death Roller) to try and 'encourage' my opponent to score quickly. He was a nice road block, but got himself thrown out of the game on turn 4 trying to foul their lone runner. Still, the defense worked, and we ended the half tied 0-0..I'd even hurt a blocker so I was up men 11-10 for the 2nd half.

2nd half, blunders on my part left me open deep in my own backfield. (a quad skull and then a 1rr1 pick up with sure hands the next turn did not help either). I had to try a desperation pass to get the ball out of danger. It worked, and I thought I was relatively safe down field--but their runner was able to get free and provide an assist to make what I thought would be a 1db into a 2db. This knocked the ball loose and now they had the ball and I was out of position. Last turn of the game, I had to gfi twice to get a 1db on the runner on the side line...luckily, I got the push (really a pow) I needed, and the game ended in a tie.

Both teams advance to round 4 with 1-1-1 records..definitely out of the running for a top spot now, but still not bad.
