1st half, I actually started out good, got the ball away, was up players..things were going my way--until fidius mentioned that nothing was going his way...then it all went his way from there on out. My agility 4 runner is SI'd (well, killed and the apoth didn't work perfectly..at least it's just mng)...popping the ball out. Soon, a slayer is MNG (both from the snow troll)...and by the time they score I have 2 KO'd...and I had only KO'd 2 myself and the DP was thrown out. One of my guys recover..so despite having THREE extra players to start, I have to field the DR for the 2 turns left in the half. Of course, the DR only lasts one turn, because the ref has his eye constantly on all of my teams, and throws him out on the foul of the snow troll..at least it was a KO that didn't recover for the start of the 2nd half.
2nd half, I'm down 4 players and it only gets worse. My players are leaving the pitch in droves it seems, and I can't even get push backs. Quickly, I give up..literally. I didn't concede, but my heart was not in the game any more and I didn't try..even tried to pass the ball to the opponent. he eventually scores as I put up only token resistance. So, it's 2-0 now, and I have given up. So, put 3 on the line and every one back.. and retreat towards my EZ, trying to just pass the ball around for SPP's until the game ends or something. Back into the lower corner..and a pass goes out of bounds and the ball is suddenly way in the norse backfield. I thought at this point we would just click through as they slowly ran for TD #3, but nope, fidius got greedy and saw the opportunity to push players out of bounds (you don't even get SPP's for that!), managing to get 2 of them off, as all my guys were in a 4x4 square in the corner. So, I had to knock his SF blitzer down and foul him...SI(-st) apoth SI(-st)...so he paid for the lapse :)
Beltar gets the MVP for living all 16 turns and gets guard.
one team left in playing all 10 of my BB teams again. (1st round I was 2-2-6)..right now it's better, but not much, as I"m 3-1-5.
