#13 Windfoam – Broken Ribs (MNG)
FUMBBL SMACK Sched ELI CLXXXVIII Round 2:

Heck of a game... The Charnelhouse Dune's opened the scoring with an easy march down the field... After a fizzled T8 wizard, The But ter Fly Effect were able to complete an easy hand-off and gfi to equalize the scoring 1-1, while receiving at the half.

The 2nd half started with a blitz, which put tremendous pressure on the chaos team forcing a quick turnover... We were able to force a quick score and gave ourselves the chance to equalize before the end of the second half.

The chaos team managed to not even force a KO until turn ~3 of the 2nd half. We managed to get a quick score (the best we could do), giving the Dunes a chance at a 2-turn TD for the win; however, tough positional play on the chaos part led to the Dunes deciding not to attempt the 4+, 4+, 3+, 2+ dice rolls for the win for fear of the ghoul dying on a fallen dice roll, as is often the case!

Chaos won the toss in OT and were able to march down the field, without RRs, including a pass from 4ag to 3ag into the open area, withstand a 2 BD (no RR) blitz, and finally dodge away with 3 ag (3+) for the OT winner. That being said, even if the dodge had failed, there were many Chaos players nearby and intense pressure would have still been on the Dunes... But the But ter Fly Effects are happy they didn't have to see how that situation would play out!

A very fun, challenging game and I appreciated Cavetroll's flexibility with game scheduling, as that was a difficult task for me this week. Look forward to our next match!

#4 Staban Tuek (ghola I) – Dead (RIP)
#9 Fling Flangleman – Dead (RIP)
FUMBBL SMACK Sched ELI CLXXXVIII round 2

The failed wizard and losing the coin toss were the two biggest factors in this game. The Blitz in the 2nd half put pressure but ultimately failed to accomplish anything useful and certainly didn't make up for the failed wizard. Also, the Dune Crew had way too many pushes when they really needed POWs. Too many Chaos players were free to roam and regroup. Regeneration failed both times and naturally the only CAS the chaos team got were RIPs. A fun coach to play against but a very frustrating game overall for Charnelhouse Dune. As for not attempting the win in regulation, it wasn't a dead ghoul that stayed my hand. Even a KO would have made winning in OT very difficult. But of course we lost the coin toss and it was moot. I would have tried the score if I had knocked your only Tackler down but with only a single reroll and the Dodge skill being negated, I considered it wiser to back off and bring a full 11 into OT.

Thanks for the game and good luck in the final.
