“The Rumblers ran into a Strig team whose blackle MB PO and fouling game were a buzz saw without mercy. The Rumblers were down 6 players by Turn 3. When I had the audacity to foul I got ejected. The Biters fouled eight times and didn't get caught until the seventh.

So it wasn't much of a match, and looked to be a 3-0 or perhaps even a 4-0 blowout.

But the plucky Rumblers weren't going to just give up. Receiving a kickoff with just two turns left in the first half...a miracle. Griddlefire ran deep for a HMP from Hairytoe Joe, but Joe muffed the pickup, eating the teams last rr, then he fumbled the kick! Fortunately the ball was deep and the Biter's TTM attempt to pressure it failed. On T8 Griddlefire ran to the endzone and waited.

Hairytoe again went for the ball and picked it up and gave it a mighty boot. Then entire length of the field it traveled. The crowd grew silent in anticipation. At long last, the ball came down. Would it be close enough? Would it land on Griddlefire? NO! It was just short! But then Griddlefire made a heroic diving catch, and caught the ball anyway! TD!!!!!!!!

The crowd went crazy! The vendors ran out of food as the celebrating Halfling throng ate everything in sight. Beer prices would be impacted for weeks throughout the Moot.

The Rumblers got scored on twice and pitch cleared during the second half, but no one cared. The score was the talk of the town.”
