“Here Hellmouths faced up against some Gobbo cheaters. The squigs and herders took a beating first half here, particularly from Ball and Chains. But also a saw and fouls. First turn the fanatic cas'd a herder while the saw pulled off a ko. Soon after that Big King needed apo help as he was also badly sawed, though a kicker was sent off for fouling. No problem for the Gadgets to get their first score. On our drive Hardest Nutz was taken out of the game with a foul. But Big King rushed through to score, and as we nibbled away at them and their gobbos got sent off we turned up with 9 v 5 at the start of the 2nd half and receiving. Th game had turned and looked potentially easy especially when we got them down to 4 on the field. But the Gadgets still had a saw who had avoided the refs gaze in the ko box earlier. He dodged and blitzed and stunned Big King, so the ball was dropped! A herder picked up the ball but the chainsaw gobbo avoided a diving tackler and ko'd the carrier! The pogoer then picked up and shrugged off a blitz. We had to give chase. He then avoided hits and leapt over my players 3 times in a row to score t15!! Considering the situation early 2nd half this must be one of the most shocking defeats I have had. Poised for a win but we end in defeat.
Fun game though. We had paltry winnings but Devil finally becomes our first squig with Block.
