“Lustrian Challenge X Group 2 Round 3:

We benefited from some well-timed good dice. Always a tough match-up vs. Verminardo. We received and faced some tough defence, but were eventually able to make our way through and score T7, unfortunately giving the elves 2 turns to counter.

We gave them some fairly reasonable shots, while trying to defend as best we could. They had to roll many dice though, even if some were relatively easy, and thankfully, snaked it.

We kicked, and thanks to another snake eyes, were able to suddenly knock down the ball carrier and apply intense pressure. After a couple of turns of intense pressure, the dark elves managed to clear just enough space, and scoop/dodge/pass the ball out of danger.

We were able to recover for a 3-BD mummy hit on the witch, resulting in a pow, and most importantly, a stun. After a few turns of jarring for position, the ball squirted out into our ghouls hands. Surrounded by Elves, particularly a diving tackle elf, we had few options.

We managed to blitz with the mummy after a nice breaking tackle dodge to cause a chain push to move our ghoul away from diving tackle. He was then able to dodge away, and again once more, go for it twice and hand-off to a wide-open wight who was able to run deep (which effectively sealed the win), who was able to later add the official-game-sealing TD.

The elves were dodging all game long but managed to save all their 1's for more-or-less the worst possible situations.”
