After much negotiatian between folks on two sides of the world the game day was finally set to be played, and what a bloody game it was. Right from the off the casualties started racking up with 'fling Jack BHing Goblin Brian on the second block. If either coach would have known was coming, they would almost certainly have called it quits and walked away. In the middle of the first half a disappointing apothecary left Blitzer Lungbuster with a niggle after he was killed by Bran - in total there would be eight casualties in the first half of which three were SIs (all on the Runties team). On the pitch a botched landing following a throw team mate attempt gave the Stunties and Runties a chance of scoring before halftime, but a wizard's fireball and a failed pick up left them just short. The second half saw just 13 players join the pitch (five players on the underworld team and eight on the 'flings after both teams failed their solitary KO rolls) and kicked off exactly where the first had ended with 'Slim' Tim dying at the hands of a Hellstorm blitz. Treeman Jeff added another Big Guy casualty to his repertoire after BHing the Pink Troll Gutfart, as both team jockeyed for position early in the second. Bran then killed his second Blitzer of the game but this time there was no apothecary to mitigate that fatal blow. The Stunties, with numbers dwindling, make a break for the line, but there just aren't enough of them and with too many flings still alive, the ball carrier is hurt and the ball retrieved. Despite some courageous attempts to get the ball back (including causing another halfling casualty) the Moo aren't to be denied and manage to drive from deep in their half to score a turn eight touchdown and claim their first win and definitely their most brutal.”
