Yeah, the dice stats don't really tell you when the crucial rolls came. They don't tell about the two blitzes on kick off that became extra touchdowns.

Hammer Bot sent the minotaur flying in turn 2, and in the two turns after that Twitch sent two more dwarves out of the game, and that shifted the favor massively to the orcs.

Then a few CD failures around the ball and suddenly it's 4-0!

#1 Rykarth the Unbreakable II – Fractured Arm (MNG)
#11 Vile Slitbone IV – Dead (RIP)
Despite the theoretical mayhem this team can inflict (despite it only having one player walking around with claw, and them facing Orcs), this match-up continued a trend of poor results for my teams in major tournaments. Up to halfway through the first half, it looked rather even, despite being the receiving team... then Rykarth got his arm fractured and from that point, things went downhill. Rather fast. Up to the point where you wonder what Nuffle (in the form of this site's random number generator) might still have in store for you for the remainder of the game.

spelledaren finished the game in style, being a pleasant opponent, who I will gladly face again in the future... if only to exact my righteous vengeance. *grins*

In terms of where the worrying part was;
* Succesfull blocks: 38 out of 56 for the Orcs, versus 31 out of 55 for the Chaos Dwarfs (12% difference in favour of the Orcs)
* Armour rolls (9 or more): 15 out of 46 for the Orcs, versus 10 out of 34 for the Chaos Dwarfs (3% difference in favour of the Orcs)
* Injury rolls (8 or more): 8 ouf of 18 for the Orcs, versus 4 out of 13 for the Chaos Dwarf (13% difference in favour of the Orcs)

This means that in terms of offence, there wasn't much of a difference in between what the teams did. The difference was in that the Orcs managed to knock the Chaos Dwarfs down more often and when they broke armour, they injured my players much faster... and with the Orcs replacements being AV9 and for me being Hobgoblins, it is a worrying prospect when the offence of your team evaporates faster then you can blink.

Aaaaaaanyway, onto new games, new challenges and somewhere along the way... better dice. ;-)

Good luck in the next round!
