“Where to begin?

This might just have been the most epic game of all time.

Part from the very late Chaos-comeback there might not have been to many spectacular moments. But there was a grueling intensity on every single move, on both teams, from turn one. Although at times everything looked certain, it never felt certain. It was a constant battle for every single block, and the amazons really did put up a hell of a fight throughout.

But there was that one sequence that will forever be remembered in the Blood Bowl Chronicles. At turn 6 of the second half the score was tied 1-1. But the amazons had the ball and made good progress with a run through the lower field. They had the numbers (9 v 7) and had the whole team protecting the ball with the carrier They secured a very good position with the carrier a comfy distance from the TD-zone. At turn 7 however the Chaos got a few players back on the right side of the ball, and then Sigismund made the daunting move of a 6+ dodge into the midst of three zons close to the LoS, on a gamble that he might make them fail something while trying to get away to secure the carrier closer to the TD-zone. And the plan worked. A zon failed a blitz into a failed dodge and the carrier was within reach. A lot of luck was still needed to stop the zons from scoring on the last turn of regulation time, but Nuffle shone on the brave and the Zons failed the last chance to score after Gustav I Vasa stole the ball on Chaos turn 16.

In overtime the Chaos won the toss but really struggled to advance. The zons almost stole the ball on several occasions and again lots of luck was needed to get the Chaos through for a late OT TD.

All in all an epic game with an insane twist of fate in the end.”
