In the "UVW Qualifier of Death", we had been lucky enough in the previous rounds to defeat Brainsaw's Ulthuans Starforce and Uedder's Voyager Crew, two games where Nuffle really favoured us. But at first it seemed the good streak had finally come to an end. We chose to kick and hoped for a chance to use our Wizard, but Uusiverikulho carefully controlled the pitch and took out our wild card, Eldril, too. So we went into 2nd half with 1-1 and the ball, but still had to go for pretty desperate plays, especially after our Wizard fizzled. A punt and a -2d without reroll gave us the score, though, and with a Riot and a perfect kick we were able to hold on to the lead. Very exciting game against a very strong coach and team, uphill battle all the way but that's just how we like it! Walpurgis 2 are now on a winning streak of 8 games, all of them tourney matches, winning a Minor title and the Qualifier in the process. Let's see how far we can take this in the main draw!”
