A home team that is uncertain about their form versus visitors from Barboza that look to get a victory. Stuff that makes it likely to be a match of interest, and accordingly 28.000 fans have come to the Pool to witness the match, most of them in Crimson and green. The question everybody asks is whether Cascade's red-haired rookie catcher Rannveig Dagfinnsdottir can build on her 4 fouls in the match against the Buccaneers and finally get a casualty!

Cascade receives the ball easily and with a quick pass from Hoffman to Dagfinnsdottir, Cascade starts on a slow advance up their left flank. Althoff KO's rookie Clarke, but Bruisers blitzer goes one up and KO's Cascade Blitzer Ballard, so they are 10 to 10 when Cascade are forced to stop their advance, and push closer to the center. When Nick Mondeck stuns John Hughes, a small window of oppportunity opens up and Ronner Lewis blitzes Dagfinnsdottir, and even though she is supported by Cody Latimer, Lewis gets her down and knock the ball loose. Luckily for the Bruisers, the ball bounces over Lewis head and behind the Bruisers line, so Lewis dodges away from Latimer and picks up the ball and brings it safely into a cage as Harris fouls Dennis Gräbner and sends him off KO'd, although the ref spots it and expels Harris.

Still with enough time to score for the Bruisers, frustrated Cascade players gets violent, as Hoffman sends Stinson off with a broken neck (fixed by the apo) and Althoff blitzes and piles on Trai Turner, who is carried off on a stretcher with a damaged back (NI). Suddenly Cascade has 9 players against 7 and Bruisers hunch down and try to keep the ball covered. They don't have enough coverage, and Latimer sets up a blitz by Turbin on Lewis. It's unsuccesful, but Cascade players crowd in on the ball. Bruisers hit back, but can get anyone down except a KO on Manfred, and needs to take a chance. Lewis hands the ball over to rookie catcher Julian Edelman, who attempts a rush up the Bruisers left flank. He is promptly stopped cold by Hoffman, and sent off badly hurt, Hoffman's second casualty in this half. He also picks up the ball, but can't be protected and Seantrell Henderson blitzes him and causes him to loose the ball. Neither Bruiser lineman Hageman nor Cascade Quarterback Hoffman manages to pick the ball up, and the half peters out with nothing more happening.

With Manfred and Dennis back from KO, Cascade only lacks Ballard from their starting line-up. Bruisers on the other hand has to dig deep, as Blitzer Green missed the game with a broken skull, Turner and Edelman is out for the match, Clarke is still KO'd and Harris is banned. That means the whole squad is now on the field. There are no reserves...

The Cascade kick is mediocre, but Bruisers are careful, and keeps the ball backfield with Stinson as the ballcarrier and Quarterback McNair and star catcher Fast Eddie to cover him. The rest of the team battles it out with the Cascade at the LOS. Heavy blocking grinds down the numbers as Henderson badly hurts Dennis, Althoff KO's Ben Tate and Crazy Crawford is sent off for an all too obvious foul on Mitchell. Then Bruisers try to advance on their left flank, but is stopped cold when Mitchell fails his dodge and Cascade players can rush to stop them. Bruisers try to shift right but is stopped again as Cascade stuns Henderson and Mitchell. Bruisers try to send Fast Eddie into a scoring position, but they make a mistake and Stinson is wide open and unprotected on the right flank. Grompfel and Stangl surrounds him, but as Turbin try dodging away to do the blitz, he is tripped and leaves the game badly hurt. This allows a Lucky Stinson to get help from back-up quarterback Smith, and he breaks free by stunning Grompfel. Inga tries to break free an mark him, but Hageman and Fast Eddie helps him and Inga is pushed away as Stinson runs in the TD. 1-0 Bruisers.

It's only time for a TJ Graham special. Inga picks up the ball and passes it to TJ. Helped by a quick snap and Latimer, who guards Fast Eddie, TJ can blitz Eddie and dodge in with the ball for the equaliser, just as the referee is about to end the match.

Another average performance from a struggling home team who could not capitalise on their opportunities against a well-defending Bruisers team. Coach Vatn confirms that they are falling behind his expectations... Now at least one point is needed in the difficult away match against the Wreckers in sunny Estalia.
