“FUMBBL Smack Scheduled - Brawl 55 Round 2:
We kicked, and a pitch invasion shook things up quickly, stunning his two MB players on the front line. After a failed pick-up attempt, we were able to apply some pressure, but he was able to recover pretty well.

He was able to more-or-less cage up, but we were able to 3+ cage break and KO the ball carrier, who managed to complete a dump off attempt in traffic to a lineman on a 5+. We were able to cover up but their Piling-On Ulfwerener BH (apothed) our 5 ag dodging side stepper.

They were able to get the ball to their Super Star Runner who pinned himself into a corner. We forced him back, 4str vs. 4str and gave ourselves an easy chance for a 1 BD frenzied block but we snake eyed a dodge for positioning beforehand. This led to him 1 BD blitzing us and managing to Pow and Seriously injure our best player.

We managed three 1 BD hits vs. the ball carrier resulting in a block/skull, skull RR skull. Their runner managed to dodge away and would eventually score, needing to dodge once again.

A nice kick combined with a perfect defence looked like it might make our offensive drive a bit challenging. We quickly registered two BHs, one of which was apothed, which suddenly made things look a bit brighter, and we were able to retrieve the ball.

We managed to gangfoul their Super Star Ulf and niggle him. We entered OT 7v7, after 3 of his KOs returned. The coin toss was going to be huge, the Norse team won the toss and elected to receive.

They were able to pass it to their 4 str runner and cover him up in scoring range. We were able to smother him and position ourselves relatively well. This forced them to backtrack, and allowed us to get a few hits in, KOing another Norse player.

The Nose ball carrier tripped dodging and we recovered. He then made some tough dodges, blitzed our ball carrier, knocked them down (KO), and the ball bounced back into his arms, catching it.

We then managed to 2BD bltiz the 4str runner, knocking him down (Stun), but the ball bounced right into the arms of a waiting norse lineman, who was able to catch it. The norse team then failed a hand-off, which would have won them the game, but the botched hand-off once again bounced right into the waiting arms of their lineman.

We then blitzed the ball carrier, knocking him down (Stun) but the ball once again bounced right into the arms of their blitzer... Catching it. Their best player, their runner blitzes to free him up, but double skulls and KOs himself!

Once again, we knocked down the ball carrier, getting the ball and pushing forward slightly. The norse team was able to recover, blitz, knock down and again, recover the ball. This time, we were unable to knock him down, but did manage to put a player in scoring range.

We had a chance for a T8 heroic, dodge, 1 BD knock down, followed by 3+, 2+ dodge, pickup and a long bomb to open player for the game winning score. We got the knock down, killing the norse linemen, but snaked the 2+ dodge, ending OT tied 1-1... Thankfully though, we managed to win the coin-toss!! And, advance to the finals.”
