#15 D. Wolfe – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
March to NBFL Super Bowl XVIII, Week 8

We won the coin toss and elected to receive. The Chompers fielded Helen “the Honey Badger” Imaman, but not Chris Growlkowski. We fought back and forth for a couple turns, Helen popping the ball on a both-down result, but then most of the Chompers’ better players got hurt and by turn 3, it was 11 on 5. We spent most of the half chasing his men down, and at the end were rewarded with a Perfect Defense, thwarting the Chompers’ potential score. 1-0 at the half.

In the second half, we tied them down nicely at first, but Helen the Honey Badger broke free, and while we ran her down, she was impossible to keep in one place for long. Eventually the Chompers were able to get the ball into the hands of Guy Smiley, and between Helen and a couple linemen, there was little I could do to prevent a turn 8 score for the 1-1 tie.
