#2 Dietmar Althoff – Dead (RIP)
Wolfsbach is all styled up in White and green when Our heroes comes to town. We are short Vick Ballard, who is suffering a pinched nerve after the snowball fight in Wolfenburg, while the Scimitars are fully manned. They seem a bit tired of Blood Bowl, tough, as if they are already thinking mainly on the next draft and the next season. They are 2-1-8 and have suffered heavly losses so it may not be so strange that they are battle weary. Nevertheless, no team is a walk-over so maximum concentration is necessary. Fans seems weary as well, as only 12.000 scimitars suporters has showed up, while the Painters count 20.000, the largest crowd supporting Cascade so far this season. Cascade also wins the coin toss and choose to receive.

The ball is pushed away from Inga's waiting hand by a surprising gust of Wind, but Inga is quickly compensating, picks up the ball and passes to Rannveig. At the LOS, Althoff starts off by killing rookie lino Jermon Bushrod on the first block of the game, while Gado and Crowder are stunned. Scimitars are cautiously backing up, but agressive Cascade players are pushing forward and Althoff KO's Hewitt on his second block. Gräbner KO's himself when he tries to dodge big guy Miller. Miller follows up by KO'ing Hughes, and then Smiley topples Sternberg before Thompson fouls him. Sternberg seems to be in a lot of pain, and surprisingly, the apo comes out to help him. The damaged back wasn't as bad as thought, and Sternberg hobbles off the field, out for the match. All of a sudden, the Scimitars have 9 players on the field and Cascade only 8. Cascade are on their way to the goalline though, with little opposition from the Scimitars. The closest Scimitars are Kearse, who is promptly KO'd by Althoff on his third block, and Crowder. He is unsuccessfully fouled by Crawford, who is promptly banned from the game by the ref. Cascade manages to stall another turn, before Dagfinnsdottir scores the first TD unopposed. 1-0 Carroburg, but only half of the first half has passed.

With Hughes and Gräbner KO'd and Ballard not even on the Squad, the Cascade LOS is gone. Even worse, with 1 missing, 2 KO and 1 banned, it's all men (and women ) to the pumps, except TJ. Hessel, Turbin and Winn takes the LOS in a spread formation. Scimitars have Bushrod dead and Hewitt KO'd, and can muster 14. They leave killer blitzer Taylor in the reserves, though. Before kick-off, a flying goblin thrown by a big Troll on the Scimitar fans part of the stands crashes into Cascade kicker Erwin Grompfel and stuns him. Enraged Cascade fans storm the field to get to the Scimitars fans, and unfortunate players are running every which way to get out of immediate danger. It takes the refs and Wolfsbach city guards more than three minutes to restore order, and the pitch invasion leaves 5 Scimitars and 3 Cascade players stunned. Pannington avoids the invading fans, and picks up the ball, and passes it to lineman Bergstrom, who can't catch it and the ball is loose about in the middle of the Scimitar side. Mitchell runs into a scoring position and Althoff creates another casualty out of rookie Blitzer Channing Crowder, while Dagfinnsdottir, Latimer and Sternberg surrounds the ball. Dagfinnsdottir picks up the ball and is about to pass it to Mitchell, but stumbles when she tries to dodge out of Bergstrom's tackle zone. This gives Scimitars a chance to reclaim the ball. Bergstrom and big guy Miller holds back the Cascade trio and Bolden blitzes Latimer away from the ball, although he manages to keep on his feet thanks to his dodging ability. However, Scimitars QB Chad Pennington struggles with picking up the ball, and his throw is awful... It never comes close to its intended target blitzer Emmanuel Acho and the ball is loose once more! Cascade pedals backwards like crazy, and manages to put players Down to mark the Scimitars closest to the ball, but Turbin's blitz on Thompson fails, and it's a long way to go for Anders to pick up the ball (in two TZ's). That's where a quality player shows his mettle, though. Anders goes for it, dodges into two TZ's, picks up the ball and goes for it once more to dodge out of the TZ's, and then sucessfully passes the ball to co-quarterback Inga Dedekind! Definitely the play of the match! Since Althoff stunned Jermaine Kearse, no Scimitar is in position to blitz Inga, so frustrated Scimitar players hit any Cascade player they can reach. The only result is that Thompson KO's himself when trying to block Grompfel. In their frustration, Scimitars have left catcher Dagfinnsdottir in a scoring position totally unguarded, and it's easy for Inga to run foward and make the quick pass to the flame-haired norsewoman, who can walk the ball in to a TD. 2-0 Cascade.

Still time in the first half for Scimitars to score, but Hughes is back and Scimitars still keep Taylor benched. Scimitars can't do much with the LOS. A stun on Turbin is the best they manage. Back-up quarterback Matt Scott manages a completion to Jermaine Kearse who immediately runs for the goalline, only to stumble and fall just in front of the goalline... and KO's himself in the fall. Althoff scores his third casualty of the match when he badly hurts rookie lino Justin Smiley, and Inga get another completion as she picks up the free ball and passes to Mitchell. There is not much to do for the Scimitars, but they try a Miller blitz on Grompfel, only to KO himself on a failed GFI...

It's all doom and gloom for the Scimitars as they enter the field to start the second half. With 3 rookies injured or killed and their best catcher Kearse KO'd, they have to field everyone except star quarterback Chad Pennington. Cascade has gotten Gräbner back, and have 11 players on the field and TJ, Hoffman and Dagfinnsdottir in reserve. Another riot, on the stands this time, takes more time off the clock, but Scimitars start with the ball, and a completion from Scott puts it in the capable hands of Juron Criner. LOS action results in very little, but Thompson stuns Turbin on a foul. For a while, the teams are pushing back and forth around the LOS without much happening, while Criner and Scott tosses the ball between them. Then Cascade tries to advance towards the ball, and Taylor, finally on the field, hits Althoff and kills him! A clean kill, and Cascade has no apo left... Shock hits the Cascade fans as they realize that the star killer blitzer of the league this season is gone... Scimitars make no attempt to capitalise on the hit, though, and Criner and Scott keeps up their passing games in the Scimitars backfield. When Scott fails his pass, Cascade takes a chance and Latimer, Dagfinnsdottir and Turbin tries to snatch it, but Scimitars fend them off and finally brings the ball forward. It's too late though, and as Cascade puts the Scimitars under pressure, they try for a Thompson pass to Hewitt, but Thomspons throw is wide. Hessel KO's Hewitt, and Grompfel can secure the ball, but Cascade has only Sternberg and Latimer in scoring position. Scimitars can't reach the ball, so they once more tries to bring down any Cascade player within reach. They mange to KO Turbin and Hughes but fails to be effective. Cascade does everything right, with Grompfel handing the ball to Inga, who dodges away from Bolden and passes to Sternberg who has run into the goal area. Unfortunately, Sternberg fails the catch as the clock ticks down...

A pyrrhic victory to the Cascade, who needed Althoff more than a victory. Scimitars seemed weary and sluggish, and frequently failed in quite simple tasks. Only Taylor was a beacon of light, and his clean kill on Althoff should be the hit of the season.

#8 Jermon Bushrod – Dead (RIP)
A bloody game for both sides that saw the Cascade lose an old friend and the Scimitars lose a new one. The Scimitars had another poor game and even with all the new players, they still found it difficult to cause the Cascade any concern with the ball in hand.

It goes to show that the player of the match for the Scimitars would be a guy that took his lumps and caused some problems to the Cascade on defense. Justin Grove is the recipient of the MVP award and gets it due to his work in staying on his feet under a ton of blocking pressure and causing a turn end with successful tackling of a would be dodger.
