“A pyhrric victory indeed! The Lizardmen team is decimated. The apo saved 1 kill but 4 left this earthly plane for good. 2 Saurii, a block Guard Krox and a skink meet their maker. Plus other saurii miss the next match.
First half Santo had the ball and Superiore cas'd a Hobbo. In retaliation a Bull Centaur blitzed him, and if not for apo work would have killed him. It was the start of a lot of pain. Diablo the Krox had been taken down, and while Santo stalled, the boots were repeatedly brought down on Diablo. After repeated stuns the big Lizard was killed! A big loss. Finally a Cwarf was banned. We had surfed the lone chasing Centaur in our half and Santo scored before half-time. But not before Rio Grande was also injured in a foul!
The first half was brutal but the 2nd half was an epic blocking display. It started off with Amazonia being killed by a rookie Cwarf block. Pows and hurt raining down as we only seemed able to push Cwarfs around. 9 fouls from the Cwarfs today and only 1 sending off despite no bribes. Astonishing indeed. One of the most brutal matches I have seen without lots of kill skills. We had to laugh and appreciate the power. Eventually it went to 1-1 after further skinks were badly hurt and killed! A magical gravestone appeared :D
But somehow the last 5 Lizard players pull off a win after a riot. It gave us 2 turns with Santo quick passing to Velocidad down the flank. An agile Centaur dodged through and stunned down Velocidad. The ball went off and was thrown by a fan near their endzone. Pantanal then dodged through, picked up, and scored the winner!
Incredible win! It will take some time to rebuild though. We were then giving a paltry winnings despite the win as the organizer enjoyed the brutal side more.
