“This was my first game for a few weeks and I was somewhat rusty - so much so that I forgot to write the match report straight after the game and as the dice stats aren't working, I can't remember much of what happened.

Except that I lost, obviously.

Oh yeah, now I remember...

I scored quickly. Persaus scored quickly. Then I messed up and gave away the ball, allowing Persaus to score just before the half...and then again on the second-half kick-off. I pulled one back, but at 3-2 down with the dark elves receiving I assumed the match was all but done. But then came the blitz, and so at the end of turn 7 the score was sitting at 3-3 and it was all down to seeing who could 1-turn it...

In short, Persaus did, I didn't.

But I can't complain. To be honest I was lucky to get 3 scores as my playing was weak and the lucky blitz makes it look like it was a close game. It really wasn't. With an AG6 runner, the dark elves were able to control the play, getting in to recover the ball when either I messed up, or the dice were harsh with Persaus's passing game.

The treeman did nothing. The thrower was on form, even narrowly avoiding an interception thanks to his safe throw. And two wardancers with MB means I'm giving as good as get in terms of casualties for a change.

And it feels good to be back in the coaching seat after an extended break.
