“GLT XV: High TV Qualifier - 2nd round
My freak elves had to face two blodger ST5 bulls (one with sure hands too), nasty dwarves and a couple of dirty players.
I opted to add 150k petty cash for an additional apo and a beer, even if that would have led to a couple of bribes for my opponent (and so it was), but I needed some extra healing for sure.
First half I really couldn't stop ST5 sure hander bull, especially as my elves were going easily to the KO box. On the bright side I was able to place an early very nasty foul on the other ST5 bull that basically didn't play the entire match.
Second half, old Gary needed his most powerfull weapon and italian swearing led to 2 cas! So my darkies could score on turn 6 and somehow they had even a chance to score on the very last turn!
For once, we won the OT coin toss and my darkies were able to score rather fast the winning td.
At the end, I got the good dice when it counted; inducements (apo and babe) worked as I hope and I was lucky that the CD hitting power didn't work as expected.
Nice match, nice opponent and now my darkies will have to face a good lizard team for the final round.
