#11 Hakiph – Smashed Hand (MNG)
The second match of Autumn Year V saw the Pride face of against a almost rookie Centigor team, who, true to their fame, appeared to be rather drunk during the game. The Bludweiser Bouncers did get some inducements, which they used to hire the Star player Goatruk. Thelekhter wasn't overly concerned with one Star however, since the team was finally able to have all 4 Stalkers enter the pitch. Along the new snake Pemkheza, one skeleton had been ordered to enter the pitch carrying a sack full of bombs! These weapons are usually used by Goblins, but they worked fine in the un-nimble hands of Akibar, too.

Bouncers begun the game on offence, and perhaps due to the poor performance of Emotmonb and his saw in the last game, not many fans of the Pride showed up, thus the Centigor team had the advantage in that regard. Pride organised themselves into a defensive formation, with the poor Sectochar facing yet another day of LoS duty. This poor skeleton has been beaten apart a few times too many, and is missing a bunch of bones.

The Bouncers start the match in a strong form, building a huge cage on the other side of the pitch, with all the Centigors having a clear enough head despite all the alcohol. In return, Pride can only try to catch up, and tie some players, in the hopes of stopping the opposing team from moving too much around. The Star, Goatruk, is smacked to the ground though, and Emotmonb sees the opportunity to give the crowd what they want. Unfortunately, in a mimic of the last game, the saw only stuns the target.

After this, the offence of the hoofed drunkards is almost halted right away, when the ball-carrying Tuzkoz forgets where he is. The coach is able to scream some sense into the player, and the beast quickly barges against Pemkheza, but perhaps the drunken stupor is still somewhat in his eyes, and all he manages to do, is to knock himself to the ground. The ball drops out of bounds, and the crowd tosses it to the center of the Lybaras side of the pitch, right in front of another Stalker, Thikha.

The ball is scooped up, and the skeletons and the constructs start to form a cage around Thikha. Meanwhile, Emotmonb decides that enough is enough, and takes his saw against Goatruk again. This time the saw does it's duty, and Goatruk is injured, and carried away from the pitch, not to be seen again in this game.

The fast Centigors and Ungors are able to get back in line though, and the advance of Pride is halted near the center of the pitch. Some positioning, smacks, and a perfectly thrown bomb leave the ball deep inside a cage of bone, but only a few squares forward. Bouncers respond in an aggressive form, and smack around the Lybaras players in their way.

This goes on for another round of turns, until a failed block opens up the way for the Stalkers to rush forward. Despite this, a few Centigors manage to catch up, and successfully blitz Thikha to the ground. Nuffle must have been smiling on Pride of Lybaras, though, since the ball scatters right into the waiting arms of another Stalker, the strong Bostesi. Infuriated, the Centigors smash poor Hakiph so hard, that his hand is smashed, thus needing to rest for the next game. The following turn, Repthosheph has his jaw broken, but is able to regenerate from this injury.

Near the end of the half, the players of Pride form a half-strong cage around Bostesi, who is clearly looking forward to scoring the first TD of the new season. Emotmonb takes his saw against another prone player, but this time he doesn't even manage to break the armor of the opposing player. The ref has had enough of the noise of the saw, and bans the Necrotect from the game. Thelekter successfully manages to argue the ban, and Emotmonb is sent to reserves instead. Bouncers are able to push Bostesi backwards, but not to knock the Stalker down. With some aid from his teammates, the player next to the mighty snake is pushed away, and Bostesi slithers over the TD line, thus setting the score 1-0 for Pride at the end of the first half.

The second half starts with a strong wall of hoofs and horns facing a skeleton team trying to force a breakthrough. Back and forth bashing in the scrum, with neither team gaining the upper hand regarding the ball. No Bouncers near it, but neither does it move forward. During the bashing, one skeleton is injured, but regenerates himself back to full health after being carried away from the pitch. Emotmonb yet again sees the opportunity to take his saw against a prone player, but this time doesn't even break the weak armor of the fallen Ungor. The ref bans the saw carrier from the game, and when Thelekhter tries to explain the rusty saw to the referee, he too, is banned from the game!

Another turn with nothing to show for it for either team, but then a hole appears on one side of the pitch. Stalkers and skeletons rush forward, all trying either to shield the ball carrier, or to tie up the Bouncers. Centigors manage to rush the carrier, but can't knock the ball lose. But the bodies halt the advance of Pride, and they must instead hit the Bouncers around them, with the help of Makof. One Centigor takes a heavy hit to his head, or succumbs to the alcohol. Either way, the player is carried of the pitch, passed out.

The few Bludweiser Bouncers still on the pitch aren't enough to reach the covered Pemkheza, and the Stalker slithers over the TD line, sealing the win for Pride of Lybaras. Bouncers are given one turn to try and bash the skeletons on the line, and possibly push the ball carrier forward to score with a fabled OTTD. The ball is kicked deep, and the Bouncers decide to smack the players of Pride, who drew the short stick. All that happens in one stunned skeleton on the line, and with a final failed pass by the Centigors, the game is over.

Thanks to Cosmodon for the match. Sadly it was hampered by rather huge amount of lag for us both, which caused the game to drag on somewhat, and also caused at least one bug, where a Centigor rolled Bonehead twice, failing the second test. Good luck in the future!
