“Could have been very, very different. In the first turn, the rats got the ball within an inch of the end zone, but Meatballs, our safety, knocked the gutter into the corner of the pitch. The first half was hard-fought - the rats kept getting near the ball, but coldn't quite get free of the vice-like grip of the Vegans.

Second half, with both teams a little short, the Vegans knocked most of the rats off the pitch and held off on a score until turn 7. But that wasn't late enough - Gutter Captain sneaked in a last turn score, just when Meatballs was ready to bring him down again. So almost a touchdown at both ends, but in the end a draw - both teams doing what they do best.

A gutter runner with claws and horns is a scary prospect. I'm glad it hasn't got block or it would have been the end of us.”
