“After 9 games without victory (and most of those without even scoring) the Vegans got another win.

Up against Wood Elves it would always go one way or the other - they'd race past us as we stood dumbfounded, or we'd smash them off the pitch. An early score from the Lances (Meatballs is too much of a threat to allow much stalling shenanigans) meant we had most of the first half to equalise, and we started knocking players off the pitch quite fast then. First drive we didn't do much, but with 4 casualties and a groin strained Guard catcher, pretty fast we could bully the rest of the players apart.

I still don't quite have the vindictive killer instinct to stall when there's one player left on the pitch and foul him to death before strutting in for a T8 TD, so this could have gone to a 2-2 draw. But again, lucky for us there wasn't a blitz on the final kick off, and we took home the win.
