#11 Liza – Dead (RIP)

Aapinen received the starting kick, the dwarves anxious to kill some amazon ladies.

The game started with Tonza trying to use his slayer to push out an Amazon blitzer in the crowd. To get the two assists needed he placed two dwarves in contact with said linewoman. The push-out attempt ended in a knock-down instead, and when it was the Amazons' turn, they pushed out the two dwarves in the crowd instead - resulting in two niggling injuries. From there, Charade had an advantage in numbers, and they also played a little dirty to begin with - fouling one of the troll slayers to badly hurt.

By the end of the first half, Charade managed to score to 1-0 - celebrating the successful break of a dwarven drive and preparing for second half. There was one more line-up before halftime though, and on that one the dwarves managed to kill two of the amazons, but the most skillful apothecary had time to save the life of one of them.

In the second half, the dwarves started the fouling - but the amazons were not idly watching it but rather decided to foul back.. an eye for an eye. The dwarves apparently lacked some training when it comes to completing a successful foul - or maybe it was just the fact that their dirty player had gotten a niggling injury from the crowd that made the difference.

The amazons scored to 2-0, and the dwarves were receiving. Now they were after blood. After a painful clinging session midfield, one amazon catcher finally broke through, stole the ball and scored in the last turn of the game.

There was but one turn left of the game, the amazons put three brave girls on the field for the free hits of the piling on dwarves. All three were knocked down, and then the dwarven coach ordered a foul - in the last turn of the game! He must have been mighty upset, because such behaviour is very much frowned upon by most FUMBBL coaches indeed.

All in all it was a fun game. I suspect the dwarven coach, Tonza, thought he would get a free win and a lot of casualties playing versus Amazons. I'm always happy to prove people wrong. :-)
