“First game with the big guys sporting Block. Such a relief, way less thinking required!
The downward spiral of the guard experiment continues, however. We deny all blocks for two turns and put enough pressure on to force an early score, but then fail to do anything with it.
In this case, I blame the bloody fleshies (don't I always?), taking way too many blocks to move. And the 1d into uphill ballsack, which worked. Ball got recovered but failed to reach the endzone because the ghoul wouldn't go down, forcing an extra dodge which failed.
Well defended by Sotax, I had a plan but failed to execute.
Second half went smoothly though. Guard control, 8 turn stall for the draw seemed the sensible option. Not sure if a more traditional build would have allowed me to push for the win...”
