“Warsatch Front Reports:

The Brutes tally their first win of the season, proving the doubters wrong following their bruised and battered opener against Arizona. To be fair, the Bloodbowl Gods smiled upon the Brutes with the match up against an equally battered Texas A&M squad. The two teams hobbled onto the pitch, but the Brutes managed to come out swinging, removing two A&M players within the first 2 turns. By half time, that number was up to 4. The number difference enabled the Brutes to methodically make their way down the pitch, and score in the final turn of the half.

Texas received to start the second half and dropped deep to one side of the pitch, hoping to flip the field on the slower Greenskins. Just that outcome ocurred and for a brief moment Les Agriculteurs looked to be playing for the draw as they made their way down the sideline, then cutting back to the inside against grain. Yet, the Brutes recovered and managed to stop the would-be scorer, recovering the ball in the process. In the final turns the scoring push by Texas left them out of position to defend, and the Brutes were able to run in for a second score.

Coach Buck comments on Black Orc, Torgan's, MVP selection:

He's a real special player, and this game we felt he did a great job just eating up blocks. He's about as strong a player on any Bloodbowl pitch, and he's just a freshman. We need him to really refine his technique though. I'm anxious to see when he can rely on his skill more than just brute strength. It'll come. ”
