“An epic match. Wood Elf vs Bash in the most classic sense!

The wood elves received, and 2 turn scored. Riot! Ok, 6 turns left to score for Ottawa.. and we bashed. We set up multiple 7 man fouls on the monstrosity that is Dwayne Allen, but the only foul that did anything was on a random lino on turn 1. This slowed us down a little, and we weren't in quite prime position on turn 7.. and then we blocked a diving tackle sidestepper before moving the ball into scoring range. Damn. This forced us to try a 3+ hand off with re-roll on turn 8, which we failed, so we ended the half down 0-1. Classic, and well executed elfball defense.

But the elves.. were leaving the pitch. We received again in the second half. We pushed forward, and the elves were leaving the pitch in DROVES. 5 elves cas-ed by turn 4.... but not Dwayne, nor Jason, the powerhouse players carrying Fayetteville. Still, Dwayne was back into blitzing range, so we forced to be sure. (Turns out, we offered a 1d shot on the ball the turn before, but it would have required 3 2+, a 3+, and wouldn't have had tackle.) 1-1.

Jason one turned. 1-2.

We snatched the high kick, and lunged forward. Starr took down his FOURTH target of the match; and then promptly caught a gfi pass. The elves could only get a 1 die with Dwayne... skull re-roll skull! We lined up a blitz on Jason, but could only push before scoring on turn 8. 2-2.

Classic Elf vs Bash. Elves off the pitch in droves.. Bash grinds home for a draw.. and then, it all came down to...
