“Season10 4th round, against the arch-division rival Classics. They call themselves as cursed, even though they won superbowl....well that is some time ago.
Both teams had a number of missing players, Khalil Mack, former Patriot continues to avoid these derbies, and Patriots had legendary Blake the Boss Bortles, and superstar killer Joe Mays missing due to injuries.
I will just dub this the coming out of Fast Eddie. He is not a specialist anymore, having played 13 turns, and having 2 stalling TDs. He did play somewhat last game too, but that was more like a selfless screening exercise. Patriots management has been questioned during last offseason, what role they foresee for Eddie....special teamer? Trade bait? He proved he can admirably fill in on normal balling duties. Even his DivingCatch skill came handy in the first half, jumpstarting the drive.
Big win, almost worth 5 points (2 less for classics, 2 more for pats, and head to head tiebreaker likely), playoff seems very safe assumption at this point. Team could play loose from now on. (Not saying they would...)
On to the Griffins, another divisional game, lets see what their new management prioritises.”
