When babinto did the sensible thing and stalled for a few turns, I could see this was going to go one way, with the elves scoring early and then keeping the ball away from us as long as possible. But with both of us suffering lots of 1s in the first half, I kept the score at 0-0 and took most of his team off the pitch.

Coming off the accelerator pedal in the second half punished me, as a combination of Eldril's hypnotic gaze and a well-timed wizard meant the elves sneaked a score when I should have had the ball well-covered. But that gave us 5 turns to equalise, and with only 6 or 7 elves left, bulldozing our way through the rest was relatively simple. A few more good dice for babinto and I'd have lost this one - a reminder to pay more care and attention with the old diseased ones...
