Game five: Druchii Dynasty.
my 1740 Helfs vs 1510 Delfs. great hitter witch, 2x DTs, couple loners, Wizard.
Snow, but chose to recieve. Then, well, they Blitzed. Not awful cover, but snow GFIs worked for them, and they zapped Dave, and the ball bounced to their wrackle witch. Ouch. Everyone in TZs, we rolled some dice, sacked, grabbed it, but ran out of 2+ before cover arrived.
Kindra bagged the frog, pow on Fred spilled it, DT everywhere, ball in multiple TZs, snow ... eeew.
Scattered it, but worse spot, DT, made a handoff, but just smashed again. We stripped it again, but Fred fumbled the pass. Then Kindra tried to kill him, apo a good save, but 9 vs 11 and us very wrong sided with them gang-fouling Gary.
We tried some distractions, and desperately trying to remove gumbis to help get numbers better, and set up to score if their stall went bad, or a foul didn't work. Then their T7, a foul didn't work.
Gary leapt for the 1d pow, scatter was in a TZ, but only one dodge away from DT needed. Bit of cover, Frank went for it, 5+, 3+, 3+, 3+, 2+, 3+ (2+ no int), 2+, 2+, and 3+, 3+ GFIs in the snow. Of course it worked!
Second half, their ball, but 10 vs 9 and then I got some more removals, so they burned their good dice in turn for a tricky 2+, 4+ (2+ no it), 4+, 2+, 3+, 3+ score. 1-1 with 6 turns to go for us, and 10 Helfs vs 7 Delves. Nice.
Kindra nigged Wayne, but Ken cleared her and the other steppers and we got a couple theirs and the ref helped, we scored turn 8. 2-1 final, Kindra got Dave, Fred, and Wayne, but ran out of buddies.
4/0/1, 20 points, looking fairly promising. Albert got Block, Wayne took MB for the rats game 7. Next Game, Pro Elfs.”
