Chapter- 3 Close quarters

"Right Lads this is the One" shouted Madhead "The Target match time to get back on the winning streak lads."

Winning streak thought Fox trying to remember what the taste of victory was like. The Crookback Mountain Rats where a fairly fresh skaven Side. Led by Rictus Mortus the intimidating Blocker.

"Grog, Briskett, El diez" Madhead said predictably looking in entirely the wrong direction. "We are counting on you bringing the muscle ok."

The three kind of glanced at each other Briskett picking its nose. They had yet to click as the attacking force that was expected.

"Get out there and rip them up boys".

Charging out to take the kick Fox decided to take control.

"Right boys cage left look after the ball I will fake left, Hotwing you ready!"

"Why did you even ask!" said Hot Wing with his typical nonchalance.

The Rats kicked deep and Fox was quick to pounce on the ball. Sprinted up the pitch and the popped the ball to Hotwing. The squad tightened up into a box willing the rats to take them on.

Fox tore down the other wing predictably taking the heat and though he hit the Astrogranite the rats seemed less intent on putting the boot into him on the ground.

The pace of the cage going forward though seemed glacial and though Hotwing thought he knew the plan out of nowhere he broke ranks and tried to give the ball to Fox.with it predicatively hitting the ground.

"What the hell are you doing!" spat Fox.

It was too late the Gutter Runners were all over them. despite a valiant effort from Fox Monty sprinted in to take the Rats ahead.

The efforts in the sun was too much though and he collapsed being dragged off the field. It didn't seem like long before Mad head threw some water over him.

"Quickly lad its 1-1 get back out there".

Setting up with 9 players meant that the mob were stretched even though the rats numbers were also dwindling.

"This is it lads lets hold them out!" Fox commanded.

The Mob valiantly defended but couldn't quite hold on to the rats with Monty yet again crossing the line.

A final turn saw Fox spin the ball again to Hotwing, but it was too little too late thought Fox.
