“We met some plucky Elves here, though they were missing one of their Waradancers. No team rerolls, so they induced one.
We passed by the centre of the pitch and then slowly advanced with Runito well protected. Their Treeman was close behind. Terminus KO'd their Wardancer with a timely blitz. That helped us but it still wasn't a walk in the park until late in the drive. Decent blocking kept us moving. In fact Terminus had caused 3 KOs by half-time, and Infamous injured a line elf. Runito then could stroll over the line. Our side had proved resilient.

Second half there was an early fumble of a long kick. But before any lizard could get close they pulled off a pass. A skink, Distraction, took his chance to knock down their carrier superbly and Runito took the ball. The Wardancer leapt and fell next to him. Runito moved on and when their Thrower unfortunately fell when trying to blitz too we were able to get the 2nd TD.

They did come back with a quick reply. Racing up the wing. Their catcher was brought down with a both down, but an Elf was able to recover and score.

They still had time left to pressure us. Runito fumbled once, then picked up and got cover. Their Wardancer was still able to smash him down, but a Catcher couldn't quite manage the pressured pick up. So we take the narrow win! The Wood Elves couldn't cause damage today, and so we were able to live up to our team's name.”
