“My boys took the opening kickoff and scored fairly easily to start the game off, killing his team's only tackler in turn 2 (apo not used) along the way. This proved to be pivotal for the rest of the game, as it made me willing to use my blodging catchers to frustrate his black orcs and prevent them from assisting each other to their fullest potential. I wasn't able to stop him from scoring, though he earned it with some nifty dodging for an orc team. In one turn in his drive, though, he killed our str 4 blitzer (apo succeed!!! I dropped off my chair when it worked for a change!) and niggled our move 9/dauntless catcher, who now is an assistant coach for speed training. But he left too much time on the clock, allowing us to score once more before the half, leading 2-1.

Second half, he takes the kickoff, but his luck begins to break down seriously. Through the next 7 turns he throws a ton of skull-blocks, a lucky ko on one of his bob's isolates his troll, who stands there stupidly for 5 turns (though he did get one last bh in turn 7), and he was able to knock me down maybe once every third block. He tried to go around the outside, figuring a convoy of bob's with some lineorc help, surrounding a str 4/agi 4 blitzer, would be safe to move down the pitch, right? Well, not once my ogre starts to ko bob's left and right, and my blitzers sideline even more of his orcs, steadily reducing the number of blockers. Eventually, turn 7 we're able to take a shot at the ball carrier himself, whose stand-firm skill kept him inbounds but the ball bounced out to where my catcher and no orcs was. Waltz in, game over.

Good, clean game--he fouled once, I sidelined three or four of his guys, it all balanced out as nothing but stuns came of it--and a decent coach to play against. Not much conversation, just two strategists trying to decide how to make the best of the situation. Enjoyable nonetheless.”
