A topsy turvy match which the Terrors were very lucky to win after some shocking bad luck in the first period.

The Terrors were on the backfoot in the opening seconds of the match when they Troll mistimed a block and went face down in the astroturf (double skulls on the second block of the game!) and the Ultimate Evil stormed into their backfield.

The Terrors went to pick up the ball which was lying in their end zone with one of their surehanded Hobgoblins after pushing all their players to the right, only to have the ball knocked out of bounds, and then thrown back onto the left hand side of the pitch within 10 feet of the super agile Wight Enrst Eiswuerfel who picked up the ball and scored!

The next kick off saw the Ultimate Evil blitz the Terrors, putting them under intense pressure. It looked like the Terrors were going to concede another TD when their Troll threw an even uglier block and went face down in the turf again (his second block for the game, this time tripple skulls ROFLOL).

The Terrors were under immense pressure and spent the rest of the half struggling with the Evil for control of the ball in their backfield, never threatening to score.

The Terrors thought the game was lost as the Evil started the second half in offence. However, the Ultimate Evil attempted an un-necessary backfield pass and the ball sailed wide. Way wide. This allowed the Terrors to rush the Evil's backfield with both Bull Centaurs who were soon followed by Hobgoblins and Chaos Dwarves alike.

In the immense struggle that ensued, the Terrors not only recovered the ball, but had time to hand it off to Bull Centaur Kzarak Flamefist who eventually scored the equalising TD after running down the clock enough to ensure a draw.

With only a few minutes left in the game, there was not enough time for the Evil to get the ball from their backfield to the Terrors end zone. However, there was time for the Terrors to score thanks to a blitz!

The Terrors pushed forwards, grabbed the ball and forced their way into the end zone to steal the match in the dying seconds of the game.

What a funny match. I was so screwed in the first half due to so many dice rolls going against me (double then tripple skulls by the Troll, the ball falling out of bounds and going near his AG4 Ghoul, the blitz etc). Then my opponent made a big mistake in the second half and let me back into the game with a the un-necessary pass when he could have taken his time to form a cage to protect the ball.

Nuffle decided to reward me for the bad luck in the first half with a lucky blitz on turn 7 to give me the chance to win the game and I made it. It was hard though, thanks to a Break Tackle Standfirm Guard Mummy that made a 7+ and 5+ dodge to lay an assist on me for a blitz on his turn 8. Luckily I survived his two dice hit (double skull/pows I think) and was able to blitz my own way into the endzone.

A very fun game against a fun opponent :)
