The dark elves won the toss for the first turn, but their drives were hampered by bad luck. Unable to stop the nimble Amazons, and finding themselves slipping left and right, they were losing to the forces of Girl Power by two touchdowns by the time the halftime whistle blew.

The second half proved slower, with the Amazons procrastinating by passing the ball around (I had 3 linewomen with 5 SPPs, I wanted to score completions!). However, luck remained on their side and the witch elf Iymrinarîth was soon carted lifeless off the field after the tackling blitzer Helena accidentally brutally killed her on purpose. Despite the apothecary's ministrations, it seems the wounds were too serious. (And Nuffle continued to curse the darkies with 1s.) By the time the Amazons scored the final touchdown, it was effectively all over.

My opponent suffered from a lot of bad luck and never really managed to get a strategy into motion. It was a poor performance for his team, and I hope he does better in future games. Though, preferably not against me. ;-)

Finally: four linewomen got skills! Woohoo!
