“The Hellbringers started in offence, but a backfield error allowed the Nasties to steal the ball quickly and score with ease. (I failed a sure hands attempt to pick up the ball and had no one else near the ball as I was preparing a cage).

The Hellbringers then knocked out 4 nasties on their way to scoring a reply in the opening period, but all 4 players recovered by the time the second period started.

The Nasties were able to score a second TD despite a backfield fumble and some pressing defence by the Hellbringers which caused the Nasties coach much tension (and the use of 3 rerolls?).

The Hellbringers then focused on securing the draw and caged their way forward, first knocking out one Nasties Witch Elf, and then badly hurting the second, knocking out another player, and sending a fourth into the crowds to sign autographs.

The Nasties couldn't stop the Hellbringers from scoring the equaliser and the game ended with Tziggoran the piling on Chaos Dwarf finally nailing the dirty player Line Elf Krombus Bliskk (-1 MA but the apothecary saved him).

A fun tight game. My opponent annoucned to me that his Dirty Player was defence against Piling On before the match, and as I had only one Piling On player, I used my blitz on turn one to hit him, knocking him out LOL. When he did come on, his 2 fouls for the game both failed to penetrate any armour LOL.

It was a tough game for me after being down 0-1 after only 2 turns and I started with the ball in the first half! That backfield fumble cost me a possible win, but you take the bad luck with the good.

A fun game against a fun opponent.
