“Well, this was an...educational...game. For a guy who claimed it's "been a while, please be patient with my slowness" he sure as hell played like a grand master. Armor breaks helped him, but he still played very intelligent, error-free bloodball.

Ingredients for a very, very poor game:
Dead player (rookie linerat, just bought him after last game)
Extra MNG's (two more linerats)
Lose the cas war (he had one MB, team got 6 cas; I had twin claw/rsc, got 1)
Lose fans
Pathetic winnings (10k)

The hitting started hot and heavy, killing the rookie in the game's second turn, then narrowly avoiding another niggle to Sai when a non-tackler got a lucky POW result. He never let up, and even though I was able to steal the initial drive's ball for a score (thanks to dropped pass on his part), we line up and I have all of 7 rats now. More cas ensue, and forever after I never have more than 5 rats on-pitch, usually far less. Meanwhile, the few times I ever break his armor result in stuns/ko's who wake up, so he always has 11 to start.

I'm not complaining about the luck--it was just one of those games. But you tell me what the heck you could've done in that situation? He intercepts my passes; he hits worse than most chaos teams; his armor is tougher than any dwarven team; he even managed an absolutely brilliant OTS promotion with a mv 7 player to steal the draw as time expired! (The quick snap helped greatly...) Boy, if these are the games I'm gonna get after a long time searching for opponents willing to face me...”
