#11 Throk Hooktail – Smashed Knee (NI)
The luck reading is out as the game froze at about 6 turns? into the game. At that point, I was up 60-54% on the luck reading or something like that.

Certainly was a rough game for AFK with the dice rolls being very unfriendly early on. I started with the ball and spotted an easy multiblock early with my Str6 RatOgre and took out his Tentacled Kicker with a blitz. The quick snap allowed me to try a one turn TD with my MA10 Gutter but I rolled snake eyes crossing the end zone!

The ball fell free and AFK recovered it, but forgot to check for passblockers and my two Foul Appearace guys got closer enough to impose -3 on the catch. The ball fell free and I recovered the ball and scored, knocking out his Rat Ogre on the way.

After that the dice rolls started to get bad for AFK with him failing quite a few 2+ rolls allowing me to steal the ball and score with 3+ rolls instead.

The crowd which started off mainly pro AFK started to cheer for me instead as his frustration got the better of him and he expressed this in game.

Second half the game was much closer, and I was under pressure a few times and threw in a TZ a couple of times, but my guys had Safe Throw and Accurate, and one had Nerves of Steel and Strong Arm as well. Certainly not in multiple TZs nor across the length of the pitch (though one was a Long Bomb attempt needing 3+s with RR and then the silly Storm Vermin failed the 3+ catch with RR).

I even had the chance to mutliblock his Rat Ogre with mine and Fleshtearer knocked his guy down again, but no KO this time heh.

In the end it was a well played match by my opponent who only made a few mistakes all match, eg allowing me to use my RatOgre do do a mutliblock on a blitz on the kick off twice (and despite him saying I played flawelessly, I made a couple as well - eg, late in the game, I blitzed the wrong Gutter Runner and had to run my Thrower into the end zone where he got pinned and I had to do the 3+ long bomb to the Storm Vermin).

The dice did turn it into a farce in the first half when I raced out to a 3-0 lead I think, but the second half was much closer.

Post match, the dice continued to favour me as I made my 176, 76, 76 and 51 aging rolls and picked up a double and a +AG out of it, saving my team from a possible implosion of aging.

Anyways, I hope you have a good break AFK_Eagle and come back refreshed and renewed.

Sitting pretty as the number 2 ranked skaven team in all the land, we were having our way...all the ladyrats we could want, our pick of the best bars to party in after games...but there was something missing. Why settle for being the 2nd best team, when the so-called best team is still out there, just waiting to be challenged! In our arrogance, we called them out of semi-retirement, and back onto the pitch...

Well, now I guess we know why we're the 2nd best skaven team in the land, and not the first...

My opponent could do no wrong, everything he tried worked. All his blocks were POWs; his dodges never failed; his agi 3 throwers were chucking it across the length of the pitch, in multiple tz's, and accurately settling the ball into his receivers hands, who never failed to catch it. Twice we intercepted the ball; both times, safe-throw negated (including one where the safethrow roll was a 1, but a team reroll was used to re-negate the int). To a certain degree, it was marvelous to watch...

Meanwhile, it was just an absolute disgrace our performance today...out of 16 turns, only 3 were ended by me instead of by rolling a 1. Blocking was adequate, but we couldn't dodge to save our lives, passing was a joke, catching the ball was even worse. Our rat ogre got ko'd turn 2 of the match, and then proceeded to stay ko until turn 3 second half, despite repeated attempts to wake him up after yet another Skavenblight touchdown. And another. And another. And another...

Yes, we managed to score 3 times in the second half, but that was using the OTS for a couple of them, which I positively HATE to do. He's a tool, not a crutch. But he was the only thing working on the team today...and even HE was a bust, as he dropped passes and handoffs multiple times, costing us potential scores and giving the ball back to the other team. I mean, I can understand the whole luck factor, and don't mind losing to superior tactics and/or superior team. But it was just positively disgusting the way Nuffle shat on us this game...the longer the game went on, and the more 1's we rolled trying to do the most basic of tasks, the worse my attitude towards the game got, and for that I apologize Malthor. It wasn't your fault--you played flawlessly, and it was certainly a joy to behold what a top-notch skaven team can accomplish. But I've worked long and hard to get my own team to where they are, and to see them just embarrassed like this was very, very hard to take...
