#4 Slasher Puppie – Smashed Hip (-MA)
What a shocker
had them on toast in nearly every department
Frenzied Flesh Golem couldn't put himself together in time for the game.
The normally reliable Kil'al fumbles the opening kick off and the Dark elves start to hurt US !!!
Thankfully the Count decided to lead the way (only after Slasher departed)
and then fumbilitis set in and they couldn't put anything together.

Another huge match for the Vanguard! This one was shaping up like the match against the Zen Adepts. There the chaosian dwarves had a full roster and Hthark the Unstoppable rumbling along with them. Here the undead had a full roster and also brought the Count along to play. What a challenge...and perhaps also a compliment for the lads!

To be realistic, we didn't think we'd stand much of a chance. Storm Warden missed his 4th match in 7 games after having come down with a virus! Surely must be getting close to getting the sack I think.

Once the game got going though, the Vanguard hit the pitch with their foot to the floor and never looked back. Quite nice to get off to a flyer, I'd been worried they were getting geriatric after their recent bout of slow starts. After Kilal's early fumble, it was a dogfight for a while, but finally Slasher hit the pitch with a bloodied yelp and we ran in the first try against the flow. The advantage was soon lost as the Count showed just how good he can be with some fancy footwork right on the siren. 1-1 at half time.

The second half was close, but the lads found their footwork when it mattered, and only let their guard down when it didn't. Meanwhile the undead missed some pretty important marks and their blocking really let them down in the second half. That was pretty much all there was to it in the end. Although a late runaway try got the Vanguard the 3-1 win, there really was only a single play's difference in it at the final siren.

Well played Theo, and welcome to Prem!

Twahnlow Votes:

Pretty tough to call as the Count played the major moves!

3 votes: #3 Little bit of Rage
Kept making me feel like a noob as I tried to crowdsurf a sidestepping puppy. Ultimately distracted me enough for the Ancients' first try.

2 votes: #14 Eth'el
Always a thorn. His ST4 was ever in the wrong place at the wrong time (for me!). Sign of a good player.

1 vote: #5 Black Boneheart
Was a real tryer. Kept the blocks coming, even got the one fatal punch in that RIP'd Frozen Tsunami. Good team player.
