This turned out to be another bloody match, although for once the blood spilled was that of Gooooooold!'s opponents.

The Fang's started out with some bad luck, and it set the tone for the match, especially combined with some strange decisions on the part of their coach. The first block of the match, by a golem, resulted in him being knocked over by a sturdy dwarf. Slow as they are, the dwarves couldn't really take advantage of this, but they did try to rush...slowly...at the undefended ball. The necros had no difficulty getting the ball to one of their blazingly fast wolves. Fortunately for the dwarves, the wolf then blitzed into their side of the field, ahead of the rest of his team. This set up an easy block, and the dwarves picked up the resulting loose ball.

They then marched up the field, killing the zombie Garry (who then regenerated). Once the dwarves neared the endzone, the necros stopped trying for the ball, instead focusing on blocking and fouling. This gave the dwarves a golden opportunity to engage in one of their favorite tactics, stalling, and gave the necros no chance to score in the half.

The second half began with a bang, as half the players on the field were stunned by a pitch invasion, including both of the dwarven runners and one of their blitzers. The dwarves did manage to pick up the ball, and proceeded to form a loose cage to defend the ball carrier.

They shouldn't have bothered. Enraged by the course of the game so far, the Fangs completely ignored the ball in favor of doing some damage to their opponents. However, trying to beat dwarves in casualties is a difficult task. Block after block, and foul after foul, failed to do any serious damage to the well armored dwarves, who managed an easy TD in turn 5. The unfortunate Garry was killed again, and this time was unable to regenerate.

The necros had now lost the game, barring a miracle, so they continued to focus on causing casualties. The dwarves were a bit annoyed now, and decided to give the necros a taste of their own medicine. In a single turn, both of the opposing wolves were crushed. The first was niggled on a block by a blitzer, and the second was killed on a foul.

Final score: Dwarves 2 vs Necros 0
