#5 Storm Warden – Smashed Knee (NI)
A bemused Coach Snorri feels like getting drunk right about now!

This match was a definite improvement over the 5-0 spankings we've had delivered to us by the Avalanche, and in getting at least that far was a definite improvement! But the avalanche played another almost flawless game and left us wondering just what there is we can possibly hope to do against woodie teams. Not much went right in this one, the start especially was horrible, but right down to a failing apot and the fans letting us know what they thought of their Premiers losing to this outfit again! I think the lads are starting to get a little demoralised.

Perhaps the only one still strutting is the Navigator. In what may be his final appearance for the Vanguard, he volunteered himself for his first call of duty on the defensive scrimmage line! Spent a good part of the game staring down the Avalanche treeman and laughing at the innefective slaps that he was dealt - unfurtunately we're bound to hear no end of how easy scrimmage duty is from him now. In offence, he was, as always, the rock the team is built upon. Never failed a pass and showed exactly why he's been such an integral part of this outfit for the last three seasons. Even finished the game in style by showing off with a 12 square long bomb in front of a very packed stadium! A great finish to a legendary career!

Other comments...Coach Plat once again expertly made the Avalanche tries look easy and made us fight like daemons for ours. He's got his team through what could have been a risky season and they look good for a decent rebuild in the conferences next season. Very admirable management effort. We just hope we can survive the aftermath of a premiership equally as well so we can look forward to a rematch in SWL XIII!

Hurt our morale more than anything, though he got the avalanche off to a blinder. Drew a double skulls from Hopp'n in the Vanguard's very first block of the game, survived her rerolled frenzy and tripped Storm Warden (double 1) on the very next move. Brought the memories of our last two humiliating defeats rushing back.

Causing cas is not usually his forte, but this one stuck as the apot failed. Tough end to the season for the Vanguard, racking up 450k in players worth of RIP's and niggles in their final two games.

Deftly hung on to the scattering ball just as the Vanguard looked like stopping the winning try. Had a reasonably good game in general as well despite one failed pass, but made up for that by refusing to go down as he guarded the spilled ball.

One turners dont deserve to be on the field! Even with 9mv, getting the one turner in is as easy as you please. The taunts, the cheeky waltz over the tryline...especially after 3 turns of blood, sweat and tears to get our try in to see him do this in an instant....its all too much to bear! -1 vote for this schmuck! Seriously though, this guy had a flawless game, and has a good future, but...he probably should be advised to stay clear of the Snorriheim pubs ;)

And did I remember to mention....the SWL XI PREMIERS are the Vanguard of the Southern Ark!

Big party in Snorriheim this weekend!...All invited!...Cept Steve....and his mate, that yob Bazza ;)

The two best elfin teams in the SWL played once again the last game of the season and again the Avalanche could defeat Vanguard of the Southern Ark. It was the will of the team perform one more time like champions before get relegated to the Conference.

Like expected it was a well spirited game between two great coaches.

Gold #7 Orca: Two TDs in his first game is a perfect start in a successful team.
Silver #4 Twilight Veil: He surprised me with his leap. He used it lots but couldn’t stop the Avalanche alone.
Bronze #3 Blind Navigator: The Oldstar in the team. Was successful in keeping Peter occupied.
